Owner: AJ Martin
AJ began his career at the prestigious St. John's College high school in Washington DC (SJC). SJC has been ranked numerous times In the past five years as a top 25 team in the country, ranking as high as fifth in the country this past year. AJ played basketball his freshman year at St. John's before deciding that he wanted to go all in on Baseball. AJ started out on the freshman team as a freshman and made the jump all the way to varsity as a sophomore. His sophomore year was canceled due to Covid and he started at second base his junior year. He had hit .333 his junior year on varsity and began gaining interest from D1 schools. When decision time came, AJ only had two division one offers from mid major schools. He ended up choosing a walk on spot at George Mason University during the preseason of The spring of his freshman year at George Mason. He had torn his left labrum swinging. This is where his story begins.
AJ credits is labrum tear to discovering his love for guiding and teaching younger players along with his love for nature based healing. He has a big emphasis on doing things the morally right way which includes how you treat yourself and others. This is a big key in his teachings as he believes everything is connected. Being faced with many hardships early on, AJ had no choice but to adapt. This led to him diving into personal development books and videos which helped change his mindset into who he is today as a person and baseball player.
He had returned to George Mason the fall after he tore his labrum but decided that it would be better for him to attend a junior college for the spring. This would be the last time AJ did not have to pay for his college anymore. During his spring at the junior college AJ slashed .363 average with seven home runs during that time. Even after that spring, AJ received very little D1 interest, so he decided to play in the Ripken summer league based out of the DMV. During this time, AJ had tied the record of 24 consecutive games with a base hit. AJ finished the Summer hitting .375 with five home runs and this led to him receiving numerous mid major D1 offers.
He decided to attend Charleston Southern University for his red shirt sophomore year. There he had started 50 out of 51 games and hit .313 with 12 home runs which led him to receive all conference honors along with all tournament team honors. After this season, AJ decided to enter the transfer portal in desire for a better opportunity to display his skills. After being in the transfer portal for almost 2 months, AJ decided to commit to the University of Louisville where he is currently playing.
During AJ's career, he has fell in love with getting better in all aspects of life. This has led him to gain a ton of knowledge through research and experience. AJ prioritizes getting all of his answers from nature, God, and using science backed data to make calculated decisions in all realms of life.
